IlOILO CITY — Twenty-three election-related incidents hit Western Visayas.

Regional Police Director Wilfredo V. Dulay Sr. ordered these incidents investigated.

The Regional Election Monitoring Action Center (Remac) recorded seven incidents each in Antique and Iloilo, five in Negros Occidental and two each in Capiz and Aklan. (More on Manila Bulletin)

Reelectionist Jejomar Binay was officially proclaimed winner in the mayoralty race of Makati City on Thursday.

Binay garnered a total of 198,814 votes from the city’s two districts while his nearest opponent, Senator Manuel “Lito” Lapid, had 22,462. A third candidate, Elias Dulalia, had 1,243 votes. (More on Inquirer)

The Supreme Court (SC) ordered yesterday the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to comment in 10 days on the petition of Genuine Opposition (GO) senatorial candidate Taguig-Pateros Rep.
